The image is in a Google Photos album. The album is shared: Anyone with the link can see these photos.
I used Images>>Select>>Your albums to select the photo for insertion.
It is much easier to find an image if it has been added it to an album.
For the second image I got the shared image URL and used the URL section of the Embed function.
